Zip Line fun for Tim's 40th!

To celebrate Tim's 40th Birthday a large group of his friends and family got together for cake and adventure. We spent 4 hours climbing and challenging any fear of heights you may have at eh Lafleche Aerial park in the Gatineau hills. I was able to take photos here and there, I was also engrossed in the pure thrill and exhilaration of flying through the air on a thin band of stretched steel cable high above the ground and the treetops on several occasions.

A spectacular way to enjoy the beautiful fall day!

September 11, 2010, 9 years ago our world changed in ways that we can never return to. As Canadian's  we shared and were affected deeply by the events that happened to our American friends. Every time I see this flag I realize just how lucky and proud I am to be a Canadian living in this great country of ours.

The Gatineau Hot Air Balloon Festival is on in Ottawa this weekend and the weather finally cooperated enough to allow them to put the balloons in the air. The sun even cooperated and was able to sneak through some heavy cloud cover to illuminate these fantastic nylon creations. I was happy as well in that 2 other years I had went to observe the lift off both were canceled due to weather, 3rd time lucky!
Truly a spectacular sight.

Incredible sweets can be found in the Byward Market, Ottawa. These ones in particular caught my eye, covered in caramel and bristling with Smarties, makes me wonder if we could get some of our politicians to wander down and take a bite!
