I traveled down to Blue mountain lake in the Adirondacks to meet up with friend and fellow photographer Mike McGinnis this past Monday. He was on a photo holiday with his wife Mary and luckily they were at Blue mountain lake for 3 days. Seeing how Mike lives in Colorado, I hoped in the truck and headed down to spend the day with them. They were staying at a 100 year old Adirondack camp, The Hedges. A spectacular place, it is located on a small peninsula on Blue Mountain lake. Together we hiked to the top of Castle Rock over looking the lake, photographed Buttermilk Falls, and I was able to give Mike a quick intro into flatwater canoeing. Here are a few shots from our day.
